Carbon Steel: Properties, Production, Examples and Applications
Carbon steel is an iron-carbon alloy, which contains up to 2.1 wt.% carbon. For carbon steels, there is no minimum specified content of other alloying elements, however, they often contain manganese. The maximum manganese, silicon and copper content should be less than 1.65 wt.%, 0.6 wt.% and 0.6 wt.%, respectively.

Carbon steel can be classified into three categories according to its carbon content: low-carbon steel (or mild-carbon steel), medium-carbon steel and high-carbon steel [1]. Their carbon content, microstructure and properties compare as follows:

Q1: Do you pack the products?
A: Yes, in general, we will strictly pack the fragile products, such as stainless steel, aluminum, etc. to prevent the products from being scratched. We can also pack the goods according to the customer's requirements.
Q2: Can you provide samples?
A: Yes, we can provide free samples, but customers need to bear the transportation costs.
Q3: How do you guarantee the quality of your products?
A: Our factories are professionally certified, and each product is inspected piece by piece according to domestic and international QA/QC standards. We can also show the product quality certificate to customers.
Q4: Do you make customized products?
A: Yes, we have many years of experience in product customization and can tailor products for you according to your specific requirements.
Q5: Do you accept third-party inspection?
A: We accept third-party inspection: SGS, V-trust, TUV, DNV and other third-party inspections.
Q6: What are your payment terms?
A: We accept 30% T/T advance payment and 70% balance before delivery. We will show you the photos of the products and packages before you pay the balance.
Q7: What are your delivery methods?
A: EXW, FOB, CIF, CFR, DDU, etc.
Q8: What is your delivery time?
A: For stock products, we can deliver the goods to the loading port within 3-7 days after receiving your advance payment. For production cycle, it usually takes about 15 to 30 days after receiving the deposit.
Q9: Do you have discounts for large orders?
A: Our company has the ability to supply large projects and also has very good preferential policies for large orders.
