The conditions for extruding steel bars, profiles, hollow profiles and seamless steel tubes are extremely challenging and require advanced equipment. High extrusion speeds are required to reduce the contact time of the hot material with the die. Our steel extrusion presses can be precisely customized to your specific application. Our highly dynamic accumulators enable maximum extrusion speeds of 400 mm/s.
Seamless steel tube extrusion presses are usually equipped with a vertical piercing/expansion machine for preforming before extrusion. What all extrusion presses have in common is a prestressed frame optimized by FEA using the classic Schlomann stacked plate tension column/press box design.
